Ukraine's Railways Adjust Schedules: Cancellations and Route Changes for Dnipro and Zaporizhzhia Regions

According to Главком: Ukrzaliznytsia, Ukraine's state railway operator, has revised the schedules for suburban trains in the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia regions. A series of trains have been canceled or altered, effective March 17 and 18. These frontline regions have faced persistent shelling, and the railway company stated:

“We are finding solutions: we are concentrating rolling stock on key safe routes.”

• No. 6075 Zaporizhzhia-2 – Marhanets
• No. 6498/6497 Marhanets – Zaporizhzhia-1
• No. 6451/6452, No. 6455/6456 Kryvyi Rih-Holovnyi – Inhulets
• No. 6453/6454, No. 6457/6458 Inhulets – Kryvyi Rih-Holovnyi
• No. 6537 Dnipro-Hol. – Kryvyi Rih-Hol.
• No. 6412 Kryvyi Rih-Hol – Apostolove
• No. 6413 Apostolove – Kryvyi Rih-Hol.
• No. 6471, No. 6473 Nikopol – Kryvyi Rih
• No. 6472, No. 6474 Kryvyi Rih – Nikopol

Additionally, service No. 6032 Kryvyi Rih-Hol. – Dnipro-Hol. is canceled from March 18.

Furthermore, from March 17, routes to/from Loshkariyka station have been shortened:

• No. 6405 Dnipro – Lotsmanska – Loshkariyka (instead of Dnipro-Lotsmanska – Apostolove)
• No. 6408 Loshkariyka – Dnipro-Lotsmanska (instead of Apostolove – Dnipro-Lotsmanska)
• No. 6409 Dnipro-Lotsmanska – Loshkariyka (instead of Dnipro-Lotsmanska – Apostolove)

Routes to/from Kryvyi Rih have also been modified:

• No. 6485 will run Kryvyi Rih-Hol. – Tymkove (instead of Nikopol – Tymkove)
• No. 6476 will run Tymkove – Kryvyi Rih-Hol. (instead of Tymkove – Nikopol)

From March 18, route No. 6402 Loshkariyka – Dnipro-Lotsmanska is shortened (instead of Apostolove – Dnipro-Lotsmanska).

Situation on Other Lines

In the Kharkiv region, restrictions on the number of trains remain in effect on the sections: Merchyka – Kharkiv, Merchyka – Liubotyn, Ohultsi – Kharkiv, and Ohultsi – Liubotyn.

In other railway news, repair work has begun on the stairs leading to Platform No. 2 at Kyiv-Pasazhyrskyi station to modernize the access. Separately, the State Property Fund of Ukraine will take control of 1,592 confiscated Russian freight cars, which will be transferred for use by Ukrzaliznytsia. This move helps bolster the railway's freight capacity amid wartime logistical challenges.
