Winter Support Program: Who and How Much Will Receive

The Minister of Social Policy, Family and Unity of Ukraine, Denys Uliutin, spoke about the conditions of this year's winter support program. At a meeting with Prime Minister Svyrydenko, he announced 6,500 UAH payments for vulnerable groups of the population.

The financial assistance of 6,500 UAH will be received by the following categories of citizens:

• children under guardianship or custody;
• children with disabilities, foster children and family-type orphanages, including children with disabilities;
• persons with disabilities of the first group among combatants;
• children from low-income families under 18;
• single pensioners who have a caregiving allowance.

The money will be credited to an account with a special usage regime or to a 'Diia.Card'. They can be spent within 180 days on clothing, footwear, medicines, or vitamins. This program received 4.4 billion UAH from the state budget,' explained the minister.

This year, state assistance in the form of a one-time payment of 1000 UAH will be provided to all citizens of Ukraine (adults and children) to cover the most basic expenses at the beginning of winter 2025-2026.
