Government Axes Outdated Regulations, Easing Bureaucratic Burden for 50,000 Firms
Outdated Regulatory Tools Abolished
According to Мін. Економіки: The government has eliminated two obsolete state regulatory instruments concerning environmental impact assessment. This move is designed to reduce the administrative load for over 50,000 manufacturing enterprises. The scrapped tools were redundant, as they duplicated procedures already covered within the standard environmental impact assessment framework.
Specific Instruments Now Scrapped
- Plans for environmental protection measures and for safeguarding populations and territories from emergency situations;
- Standards for the maximum permissible level of impact from physical and biological factors of stationary pollution sources on atmospheric air.
This decision aims to streamline procedures for businesses and stimulate the development of the industrial sector. It is part of a broader regulatory reform effort to improve the business climate in Ukraine.
The abolition of these instruments could significantly ease business operations for manufacturing firms by reducing bureaucratic hurdles. This also reflects the government's efforts to modernize Ukraine's regulatory system, which may positively impact the investment climate and the country's overall economic development.
