The government allocated funds for firewood for frontline regions: who will receive assistance

According to hvylya.net: The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the rules for receiving heating assistance for residents of frontline regions. Financial support will be provided to residents of nine regions living in houses with solid fuel heating in areas affected by military actions. The procedure for providing assistance will be regulated by local authorities, and the list of recipients will be determined by the Pension Fund of Ukraine.

Priority for assistance will be given to subsidy recipients, single pensioners, mothers receiving state aid, large families, and other vulnerable categories of citizens. Financial assistance will be provided as a one-time payment for the entire family for the heating season through international funding.

According to the regulations, payments are planned for September-October 2025 with funds from the UN and other humanitarian organizations. Money cannot be received if assistance for heating has already been provided this season by international organizations.
