According to Мін. Економіки: The Ukrainian government has launched a new initiative called 'Fulcrum,' designed to assist businesses that have suffered significant damage due to the war. This program's primary goals are to preserve employment relationships and skilled workforces, while also accelerating the recovery of businesses that have the potential to resume operations. This effort is part of a broader strategy to mitigate the severe economic disruption caused by the ongoing conflict.

How the 'Fulcrum' Program Works

The program provides compensation for a portion of an employee's salary during periods of business downtime or suspended employment contracts, covering up to two times the minimum wage. Additionally, 'Fulcrum' includes compensation for the Unified Social Contribution tax calculated on this aid. With the employee's consent, participation in paid community service work is also a possibility.

Ukraine's Minister of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture, Oleksiy Sobolev, stated: 'It is fundamentally important for us to preserve employment relationships and skilled personnel in places where businesses have been damaged by the war but have the potential to resume work.'
