Unified Register of Military Obligors: What Will Change for Ukrainians
Ukraine has started implementing law No. 3632-IX, which involves the creation of a Unified State Register of Military Obligors. According to the publication 'Advisor of the Lawyer', the new system is expected to be fully functional by the end of 2025.
According to the law, the register will be integrated with various state databases, such as the State Register of Civil Status Acts, the State Migration Service system, the Ministry of Internal Affairs databases, the State Tax Service, and the Pension Fund.
Importance of Military Registration
The General Staff explains that the creation of a unified register is a key step in streamlining the military registration system. 'Previously, many men either did not register at all or did not update their data. The new register will allow for a more accurate determination of who is subject to mobilization and who is not,' the agency emphasized.
The Ministry of Defense noted that there is no provision for automatic mobilization. However, citizens who do not fulfill the obligation to update their data in the system may be subject to administrative responsibility. Such individuals face fines and investigations.
It is also worth noting that even those who are wanted by the Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support will not be exempt from mobilization – this is an important condition.
It was explained that Ukraine has started creating a Unified State Register of Military Obligors, which will combine data from various state services. The new system will help better determine who should serve in the army and who should not.
