According to hvylya.net: The first meeting of the Interagency Working Group on Monitoring the National Energy and Climate Plan took place at the Ministry of Economy. According to the press service of the Ministry of Economy, Ukraine has reached over 75% of the target for reducing greenhouse gas emissions and increased the share of renewable electricity to 17.3%.

'This will ensure transparency, accountability, and increase trust - both from the public and international partners,' emphasized the First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister of Economy Julia Svyrydenko.

The National Energy and Climate Plan, approved in June 2024, aims to achieve climate neutrality and energy security according to European standards. It is focused on five areas: decarbonization, energy efficiency, energy security, integration of energy markets, and innovation development.

The role of a unified online monitoring system in implementing the plan

One of the key outcomes of the meeting is the decision to create a unified online monitoring system for the progress of the National Energy and Climate Plan. This platform will allow real-time tracking of progress and increase transparency and efficiency in implementing the plan.
