E-Notariat is launching in Ukraine: what will change for citizens from 2026
According to glavcom.ua: According to the minister, the electronic notariat will transform traditional notary services into a modern and efficient service, maintaining transparency and trust. These principles are protected by technologies so that citizens can safely use notarial services.
Ukraine started testing the 'e-Notariat' system on September 3. Since then, all notaries can join the new electronic ecosystem. The first services for citizens will be available in the 'Dii' program in 2026. This was reported with reference to the Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov.
Advantages of digitization for notaries:
- systematization of routine processes;
- single workplace;
- instant access to data.
The next-generation system will provide:
- a unified and convenient interface for all registers;
- document security with a QR code for verification;
- rapid data exchange between registers and databases;
- registration of each notarial action;
- automation of data transfer for key registers.
As of the end of August, there were 5,845 notaries working in Ukraine, which is 11% less compared to last year. Since July 1, Ukrainians abroad have been able to use the new automated system of notarial services of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which makes the work of consuls easier and saves time and money for citizens.
Ukraine has launched testing of the 'e-Notariat' system, aimed at modernizing notarial services and making them accessible and efficient for citizens. Digitization will also simplify the work of notaries by systematizing processes and ensuring the security of documents.
