In Ukraine, the rules for graduate students are changing: what scholarships await young scientists

According to hvylya.net: The Ukrainian Ministry of Education is preparing to launch an experimental format for graduate studies, which involves significant changes in the training of young scientists. Under the new model, a graduate student will be able to independently develop a research project along with a supervisor and receive funding for it, making science more attractive to the youth.

Deputy Minister of Education and Science Denis Kurbatov explained that the new system provides not only scholarships but also the opportunity to independently attract funds for various needs of graduate students related to their research activities. This will allow future scientists to receive financial support based on the results of their work even at the stage of preparing their dissertations.

These innovations are expected to stimulate young scientists to engage actively in scientific activities, allowing them to be more independent in implementing their ideas and projects. Such an approach to training graduate students could significantly improve the quality of scientific research in Ukraine and contribute to the development of new talented scientists in the country.
