The Pension Fund launched video identification: how to pass it abroad
The Pension Fund of Ukraine (PFU) has introduced a new service that allows pensioners and beneficiaries of insurance payments to undergo physical identification via video conferencing. This innovation will simplify the procedure for those who are abroad or in temporarily occupied territories.
This is mentioned in the official video instruction published on the Pension Fund's YouTube channel.
According to existing regulations, certain categories of citizens must confirm their identity annually in order to receive pensions or insurance payments. This is a mandatory condition, explained by the PFU.
Pensioners and insurance beneficiaries who are abroad or in temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine must undergo physical identification by December 31 of each year. Previously, this required a personal visit, but now the procedure can be done remotely.
