From Lieutenant Colonel to Private: GUR Identified Those Responsible for the Bloody Shelling of Sumy
According to hvylya.net: The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has published the results of the investigation into the missile strike on Sumy, which occurred on June 3, 2025. As a result of the shelling, six civilians were killed, and another 29 people were injured.
The military intelligence identified the identities of the Russian servicemen involved in this crime. The enemy used the BM-21 'Grad' multiple rocket launcher from the 30th Motorized Rifle Regiment (military unit 72162) for the shelling. The positions of the Russian unit were located near the village of Apanasivka in the Kursk region.

The crew leaders for the multiple rocket launcher were Sergeant Ivanov A.O. and Private Panchenko S.A.
The shelling of Sumy occurred on June 3 at 9:20 a.m. Intelligence recorded eight hits of rocket shells in the city. Sixteen objects were damaged, including 15 residential buildings of various types and Clinical Hospital No. 4. Railway tracks were also damaged.
Among the 29 injured were three children. The youngest victim of this attack was only three years old.
The investigation established that the missile strike on Sumy was caused by the actions of Russian servicemen who used the BM-21 'Grad' multiple rocket launcher from their positions in the Kursk region. This attack resulted in real human casualties and significant material losses, violating international law. As a result of this attack, innocent local residents, including children, were harmed, highlighting the brutality of military actions and the need for international cooperation to ensure the safety and protection of the civilian population.
