According to hvylya.net: During the Fair Play conference, Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrey Sibiga expressed the opinion that frozen Russian assets should be used directly, rather than just their interest. He proposed to direct these funds towards purchasing weapons for Ukraine, investing in defense, and restoring the country.

'It's time to shift from using interest to using the assets themselves and allocate these funds for the purchase of weapons for Ukraine, investments in Ukrainian defense, and the restoration of Ukraine,' Sibiga stated.

Andrey Sibiga emphasized the global nature of the Russian threat and its danger to Europe and the Euro-Atlantic space. He called for decisions that can stop this threat, underscoring the importance of unity and support for Ukraine from partners.

'To stop this threat, we need to make bold and unconventional decisions. Our unity and support for Ukraine from our partners should be our guiding principle,' he emphasized.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs called for a reevaluation of approaches to the use of frozen Russian assets, directing them towards purchasing weapons and investing in Ukrainian defense and the country's restoration. He also highlighted the necessity of unity and support from allies for an effective fight against Russian aggression.
