War in Ukraine May Last Forever: German Historian Gave Dark Forecast
According to hvylya.net: German military historian Markus Koypp believes that a potential decrease in the pace of hostilities by Russia in Ukraine could lead to an endless war without a clear goal. He warns that the front line could become an 'eternally bleeding border,’ which will inevitably be accompanied by constant threats and escalations that could last for centuries.
The expert asserts that for the Russian regime, war has become not only a tool of control but also a means of survival, having lost the ability to exist in peace. After a possible reduction in hostilities in Ukraine, Russia could continue its aggressive policy in other directions, including 'special operations' in other countries.
The Russian leadership has lost the ability to live in peace: without mobilization, without an external enemy, without constant tension, the system will fall apart both economically and socially.
Koypp urges Russia's neighboring countries, particularly Ukraine and Poland, to pay attention to the prolonged threat and reconsider their views on security in the context of Russian aggression. According to him, providing the maximum amount of weaponry to Ukraine is the only realistic option to deter the aggressor.
