According to ХВИЛЯ: Military instructor Anton Chornyi was detained at a checkpoint based on erroneous accusations of desertion, a mistake that has alarmed service members who face similar issues while traveling. During his detention, Chornyi witnessed two other servicemen being held in a TCC (Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support) cell, despite being officially on convalescent leave for wounds received in combat.

The situation with Anton Chornyi was resolved only after direct intervention from his command. The Air Assault Forces command officially refuted the data labeling Chornyi a deserter. The head of the criminal investigation unit admitted the incident was a bureaucratic error, noting it was the third such mistake. Chornyi expressed deep concern over the checkpoint's methods, comparing their tactics to those of racketeering groups.
