A man was detained in Poland for Nazi gestures and threats against a Ukrainian saleswoman
According to glavcom.ua: In Poland, a man, using Nazi gestures and threats, attacked a Ukrainian saleswoman over the quality of meat. The dispute began after the man's wife purchased a product that someone deemed subpar. The man accused the woman of attempting to poison his children and made physical threats.
The aggressive man wandered the store performing Nazi salutes and insulting the saleswoman. To protect the woman, another buyer intervened with the attacker, who was ultimately escorted out.
The next day, the victim of the attack sought help from lawyers, who reported the incident to the police and the Ukrainian consulate. The aggressor was caught two days later, and his actions may be classified as propaganda of Nazism.
Increase in hate crimes in Poland
The Polish police recorded a significant rise in hate crimes based on national hatred against Ukrainians. In just six months of 2025, there were 543 such cases, which is a 41% increase compared to the same period in 2024.
