Victoria Roschina posthumously awarded the American Oxi Courage Award for bravery
The Oxi Award was created to recognize the heroism of the Greek people, who in 1940 refused to bow down to Nazi Germany. The foundation annually honors individuals who demonstrate courage in the modern world.
Ukrainian journalist Victoria Roschina, who died in Russian captivity, has received the American Oxi Courage Award for bravery. This was reported by the former Ukrainian ambassador to the USA, Oksana Markarova.

The journalist worked as a war correspondent from the beginning of the war. She was captured by the FSB in March 2022, but was released. Missing since August 3, 2024, she was captured by Russians, and her death was later confirmed. According to GUR representative Andriy Yusov, Roschina was supposed to be exchanged, but the case has now been reclassified as a war crime.
