State Social Assistance in Ukraine: Who has the right to payments and what are the amounts
The press service of the Pension Fund of Ukraine informed Ukrainians about who can receive state social assistance. According to Ukrainian legislation, this assistance is provided to people who are in a difficult financial situation and cannot receive a regular pension.
Who has the right to state social assistance
- People over 65 years old who do not have the right to a regular pension for certain reasons, and persons with disabilities
- Individuals with a disability of group I who do not receive any pension
- Children who have lost a breadwinner, provided that their father or mother did not manage to accumulate enough work experience to receive a pension for disability of group III
Main conditions and amount of assistance
- Main conditions: not receiving other state payments, having a low income that does not exceed the living wage
- The amount of assistance depends on the category of the recipient and is a certain percentage of the living wage
Assistance is provided as a subsidy in case of insufficient pension size and is permanent for different categories of recipients.
