Payments to military personnel without delays: government has found a funding source
According to glavcom.ua: Payments to military personnel will not be delayed, and temporary liquidity gaps will be covered by the issuance of domestic government bonds, said Roxolana Pidlasa, head of the budget committee of parliament.
Bill on increasing defense spending
According to information, the Finance Ministry's bill to increase defense spending by 300 billion hryvnias will not affect the timeliness of payments to military personnel. Pidlasa emphasized that the government is ready to cover temporary liquidity gaps through the issuance of bonds.
«There can be no delays in payments to military personnel, and there will be none,» Pidlasa emphasized.
The bill is planned to be voted on by November 1, and the government continues to work on ensuring budget stability and funding the country’s defense needs.
Creation of the Military Ombudsman position
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has adopted a law on the creation of the Military Ombudsman position. A civilian in this position will protect the rights of servicemen and other individuals related to the security and defense sector in order to enhance control over the observance of rights in the military sphere.
The Ukrainian government plans to ensure stable payments to military personnel and cover temporary liquidity gaps through the issuance of domestic government bonds. Additionally, the new Military Ombudsman position will ensure the protection of servicemen's rights and monitor the observance of their rights in the military sphere.
