According to Главком: A Russian attack on the Ukrainian city of Vinnytsia on March 24, 2023, claimed the life of distinguished scientist Boris Avksentiuk. A Doctor of Technical Sciences and professor, he made a significant impact on Ukraine's scientific and educational communities. The Life and Career of Boris Avksentiuk

Boris Avksentiuk was born in July 1941 in Kharkiv. After completing secondary education in 1959, he enrolled in the physics faculty of Novosibirsk State University, graduating in December 1964 with a degree in 'Physics'. From January 1965 until August 2001, he worked at the Institute of Thermophysics of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences in Novosibirsk. He defended his dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Technical Sciences in 1973 and became a Doctor of Technical Sciences in 1992 with a dissertation in thermophysics and molecular physics.

Since 2001, Avksentiuk had worked in the Department of Commodity Science and Marketing at the Vinnytsia Trade and Economics Institute of KNTEU, and from September 2014, he served as a professor in the Department of Commodity Science, Expertise, and Trade Entrepreneurship. He was not only a highly qualified specialist but also a person of great culture, wisdom, and dignity.
