The government introduces a 50% discount on auto insurance for veterans: details of the decision

The government of Ukraine has decided to support veterans and people with disabilities due to the war by providing them with a discount on mandatory auto insurance. Under the new veteran policy, these categories of citizens will be able to pay only 50% of the cost of insurance premiums. Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko emphasized that this is an important step to ensure opportunities for recovery and self-realization for all veterans.In addition to the insurance discount, the government will also support veterans with a wide range of measures, such as special veteran spaces, adaptation programs for visually impaired veterans, free dental treatment, and simplified access to rehabilitation resources. Violations of the rules, such as transferring the vehicle to third-party drivers or using it for profit, may lead to the loss of benefits. The government may also establish compensations for other categories of citizens entitled to a discount on insurance.
