Fines up to 34,000 hryvnias for noisy exhausts: when will they start to be collected
In large Ukrainian cities, violations of quiet during the night are becoming an increasingly serious problem for residents, but the authorities are already preparing to take effective measures. This issue is especially relevant in Kyiv, where notoriously known cases of drifting and loud exhausts have already caused outrage among the capital's inhabitants. The government now plans to adopt bill No. 9564, which provides for harsh fines for noise violators, especially at night. According to this project, drivers who violate noise regulations may face significant financial losses and even loss of driving rights.
The catalyst for the resonance was the cases of drifting in the center of the capital, particularly during mourning events. Experts remind us that such loud noises not only disturb public order but can also be associated with the operation of hostile drones - which is especially alarming in the context of martial law.
The bill has not yet been implemented due to technical problems, such as the lack of necessary equipment and qualified personnel for control. There are also other initiatives related to motorsports, but for now, they remain only at the level of ideas. In any case, car owners are already advised to prepare for increased control and possible changes in legislation in this direction.
In particular, it is recommended to check and, if necessary, replace exhaust systems with certified ones, keep an eye on legislative news, and be ready for strict police checks regarding the loudness of cars.
