Drivers warned about raids on the roads: what documents are required and what they may be asked
Drivers of passenger transport are being closely monitored
The State Transport Safety Service of Ukraine (STSSU) announced the intensification of control over the activities of passenger transport drivers during inspection raids. Inspectors carry out a comprehensive check of the availability of necessary documents and compliance with the established requirements by the drivers.
When carrying out domestic passenger transport, drivers must have a complete set of documents, including a driver's license, registration documents for the vehicle, a copy of the service contract with the customer, a route passport and a protocol for checking the technical condition of the bus.
For routes up to 50 kilometers inclusive, drivers must have an individual control book, a copy of the driver's shift schedule, a driver's card or information from the active tachograph. If the vehicle is equipped with a digital tachograph, a printed record of the drivers' work and rest must be available.
For routes exceeding 50 kilometers, the requirements are even stricter. Drivers must have a driver's card, information from the calibrated tachograph or a confirmation of activity form. When using a digital tachograph, printed information about the work mode must be available on paper.
Inspectors also check compliance with the approved schedule and route of movement, work and rest regime, the presence of a mandatory civil liability insurance contract and the availability of a fire extinguisher in the vehicle.
The bus interior must be informatively equipped, containing excerpts from the rules for providing passenger transport services, information about the rights and responsibilities of the driver and passengers, as well as markings for entry and exit, information about fines for fare evasion.
In urban and suburban routes, there must be signs 'No Smoking' and 'Place for passengers with children and persons with disabilities' with duplication of the international accessibility symbol. For intercity and international transportation, seat numbering is mandatory.
Drivers must have the appropriate license and comply with all directives to eliminate violations of Ukrainian legislation on road transport.

Also, we remind you that traffic has been restricted for some vehicles in Kyiv: the reasons have been explained to drivers.
