According to ДСНС: Emergency rescuer from the Donetsk region Yevhen Lavskyi became a hero due to his bravery while fulfilling his duties, saving people in dangerous situations during the war. Hailing from Druzhkivka, he joined the State Emergency Service in 2023. For his courage and professionalism, Lavskyi was awarded the Order of Courage III degree and the badge of honor "For Bravery in an Emergency Situation".

Operations and Rescues

On August 14, 2025, the group "Phoenix", which included Yevhen, received the task of evacuating people from a dangerous zone in Sloviansk. This operation required not only high qualifications but also quick decisions under critical conditions. Earlier, on August 9, 2024, a strike hit a supermarket in Kostiantynivka, where Lavskyi and his colleagues demonstrated courage and promptness. Thanks to the speed of their work, they managed to rescue two people and provide assistance to three others.

Yevhen Lavskyi emphasizes the importance of his work, stating:

"I do a job that is important for my people".

He also recalls tense moments during rescue operations, adding: "At that time, every movement was a matter of life and death". His professionalism and willingness to take risks make him an example for others who serve in the Emergency Service and inspire the saving of lives in the most difficult circumstances.

Yevhen Lavskyi's experience underscores the importance of the rescuer profession in wartime, where each day becomes a test for those who fight for the lives of others.
