26-year-old defender Karina Tymofeyeva has died: what is known about the heroine

26-year-old Karina Tymofeyeva, a defender and drone operator, died on April 11, 2025, in the Kharkiv region near the village of Neskuchne. This information was provided by the Oleksandriya City Council through the 'Glavcom' resource.

Karina was born on December 1, 1998, into a working-class family in the village of Vilshana (Kharkiv region). She graduated from a local school, obtained secondary education, and later studied at a vocational school where she gained a profession as a hairdresser.

After giving birth to her daughter Alona in 2016, Karina Tymofeyeva enlisted for contract service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 2019. She became a communication specialist. She began her service in the 46th Separate Air Assault Brigade 'Donbas' and from the beginning of 2025, she joined the 127th brigade of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and operated in the Kharkiv direction since February of this year.

Last moments of Karina's life

During the full-scale invasion in 2022, her family from Kupyansk moved to Kropyvnytskyi, and then to the village of Oleksandriyske. Together with her mother and daughter, they lived with Karina's former mother-in-law, who is now raising granddaughter Alona. Karina's uncle, her mother's brother, also fought in this war and died.

“Karina loved her daughter Alona more than anything in the world. She was a good housekeeper, loved nature, fishing, and singing. We remember her as a devoted mother and service member,” recalls her relatives.

Karina Tymofeyeva rests in the cemetery in the village of Oleksandriyske, leaving behind her mother and daughter Alona. 'Glavcom' also joins the moment of silence in honoring the memory of all Ukrainians who died at the hands of Russian invaders.
