New vaccination calendar from January 1: what has changed for children
According to Міністерство Здоров'я: From January 1, a new Vaccination Calendar will start in Ukraine. The changes in the Calendar aim to improve the protection of children against 11 infectious diseases, including the infection caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV). The new provisions include vaccinations for girls aged 12-13 with a modern vaccine that ensures the highest effectiveness at this age.
The vaccination schedule for measles, rubella, and mumps, as well as hepatitis B and other diseases, is also changing. Other innovations include vaccinating against tuberculosis 24 hours after birth and switching to an inactivated vaccine against poliomyelitis. The recommendation is to schedule a consultation with a doctor to adjust the vaccination schedule and clarify individual recommendations, especially in cases of missed vaccinations.
It is important to keep up with updates on the official website and to remember the importance of vaccinations for the preservation of personal and public health.
