Innovations in the assessment for disability establishment

According to ХВИЛЯ: Starting from January 1, 2026, audio recording of the assessment for disability establishment will become mandatory. This innovation implies that medical institutions are required to keep recordings for three years. The audio recording will take place during in-person visits, field meetings, and online consultations, ensuring a more transparent assessment process.

It is important to note that video recording is not mandatory, and the patient has the right to refuse filming. However, the patient may initiate their own recording, for which it is necessary to submit a corresponding request to the medical institution administrator. There are also restrictions on posting recordings on social media - such posting is only possible with the consent of all present at the meeting.

Procedure for obtaining the audio recording

Patients who wish to obtain a copy of the official audio recording of the meeting can do so by submitting a request to the medical institution. These changes are aimed at ensuring transparency and protecting the rights of patients in the process of establishing disability.

The introduction of mandatory audio recordings for disability assessments could significantly change the approaches to this process, providing greater openness and the ability to control compliance. The implementation of such changes also reflects the overall trend towards the digitization of medical services and improving communication between patients and healthcare professionals, which, in turn, can enhance trust in the healthcare system.
