From 40 years: free medical examinations in Diia starting from 2026
Starting January 1, 2026, Ukrainians aged 40 and over will be able to undergo free medical examinations funded by the state. Money for the examinations will be credited to a virtual card in the 'Diia' app, announced Minister of Health Viktor Liashko.
According to the minister, a month after their birthday, citizens will receive notifications in the app offering them to undergo a free examination. 'Funds will come to your card in the app, and you can choose a healthcare facility for the examination', — explained Liashko.
The program will include a full range of examinations: consultations with specialists, laboratory and instrumental studies. Patients will be able to choose the medical facility themselves. If any deviations from the norm are detected, they will be provided with an electronic prescription for free treatment at the state's expense.
The 'Diia' app has added the ability to submit reports on completed construction work, and users have also gained the ability to receive medical notifications, including electronic prescriptions and referrals from doctors. The Ministry of Digital Transformation assured that the app does not collect or distribute users' personal data, and it will also start informing about those who view their data in state registers.
Medical examinations for Ukrainians aged 40 and over will be available free of charge starting from 2026, and funds for them will be credited to a virtual card in the 'Diia' app. The program will include a full range of examinations, and the app has also received new features for users. The app administration also guarantees the security and confidentiality of users' personal data.
