A new electric train launched from Odessa to Karolino-Buhaz

From June 28, a new regional electric train has started operating between Odessa and Karolino-Buhaz. It was launched in test mode for the summer season to make trips to the seaside faster and more comfortable. The train is equipped with air conditioners, modern restrooms, and bicycle spaces. This was reported by Suspilne referring to Ukrzaliznytsia.

What is the schedule for the new electric train

According to the carrier, the electric train operates on even dates.

Schedule:

• departure from Odessa – at 9:17;

• arrival at Karolino-Buhaz – at 10:18;

• return departure – at 10:40;

• arrival at Odessa – at 11:46.

The route takes approximately one hour. The train is designed for more than 550 passengers, and a one-way ticket costs 129 UAH.

What equipment is on the new train

Ukrzaliznytsia stated that this is one of the modernized electric trains that has received modern equipment.

For passengers, the following is available:

• air conditioners in the cars;

• spaces for transporting bicycles;

• modern restrooms;

• ramps for people with disabilities;

• changing tables for passengers with small children.

The company emphasizes that despite the unprofitability of suburban and regional transportation, they continue to modernize the rolling stock and improve travel comfort.

What passengers of the first trip say

First to use the new route were both residents of Odessa and tourists.

Passenger Danilo, who arrived from Kharkiv, reported that he chose the new route for the speed of connection. According to him, the train covers the route in about an hour, while before the journey took about one and a half hours.

Another passenger, Veronika, noted that she preferred the electric train over the bus due to more comfortable conditions, particularly the availability of air conditioners and more spacious cars.
