Hero Ihor Moroz: I will fight for Ukraine to the last

23-year-old military pilot Ihor Moroz died on March 8, 2022, in a battle for Kyiv. The helicopter he was piloting was shot down while performing a combat mission near the village of Bervytsia in Kyiv Oblast. The entire crew died. This was reported by the publication 'Hlavkom,' citing the memorial platform 'Memorial.'
Ihor was born in Kharkiv, where his grandfather and father were also military pilots. After graduating from university, he decided to serve in aviation. He was passionate about sports, reading, and photography, but most of all, Ihor loved aviation.
As part of the army aviation brigade, Ihor defended the Ukrainian sky during the war. His courage and dedication were evident to everyone. Shortly before his death, he supported a comrade in fear of death and stated that he was also scared, but it was important to fulfill his duty. Ihor Moroz died in battle, promising to fight to the last for Ukraine.
The memory of fallen Ukrainian soldiers is honored during the daily minute of silence at 9 a.m. This is a solemn moment for all citizens who gave their lives in the war against the Russian occupiers and as a result of hostile attacks on Ukrainian cities and villages.
