Starting September, the allowance for teachers for special working conditions will double
Increase in allowance for Ukrainian educators
According to hvylya.net: From September 1, 2025, the allowance for Ukrainian educators for special working conditions will increase from 1300 to 2600 hryvnias monthly. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Education and Science Andriy Stashkiv during a working trip to Ternopil region.
'The allowance, which was set for special working conditions for teachers at a rate of 1300 hryvnias, is paid to each teacher monthly since January 1. From September 1, the allowance will increase to 2600 hryvnias', noted Stashkiv.
The government allocated 12 billion hryvnias for this purpose last year. The allowance is provided to every educational worker in Ukraine regardless of several factors, such as the size of the rate, workload volume, and geographical location of the school.
About 400 thousand educational workers in general secondary education institutions across the country will receive this allowance. The increase in the allowance for special working conditions is a recognition by the state of the difficult conditions in which Ukrainian educators work during the war and is intended to provide additional motivation for educators.
The allowance has been in effect since the beginning of 2025 and has become an important element of state support for the education sector amid Russian aggression.
The increase in the allowance for Ukrainian educators will make their profession more attractive, contribute to improving the quality of education, and create conditions for more effective teaching in the challenging realities of the modern world.
