The 'Power of a Goal' Initiative

According to Українська Прем'єр-Ліга: The VBET Foundation charity is running the 'Power of a Goal' project to rebuild the sports facilities at the DYuSSh-21 'Dniprovets' stadium, located in the DVRS district. For every goal scored in the Ukrainian Premier League (UPL) championship, 5,000 hryvnias are donated to the stadium's reconstruction fund.

As of the conclusion of matchday 17 in the 2025/26 season, the combined efforts of players and fans have raised 1,735,000 hryvnias. This total was generated by 347 goals scored. The VBET Foundation states that 'The Power of a Goal is our shared strength for rebuilding a sporting future.' This initiative provides a tangible way for the football community to support recovery efforts in Ukraine.

Significance of the Project

The 'Power of a Goal' project is a powerful example of how sporting events can unite a community and drive vital social initiatives. Funding stadium reconstruction through goals scored demonstrates how fans and athletes can actively contribute to improving sports infrastructure, which in turn fosters the development of young athletes. Such community-driven projects can serve as a model for other regions and clubs on mobilizing resources for sports development, especially in times of need.
