Zaporizhzhia's Military Administration and Drone Funding

According to Главком: The Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration has announced it is dedicating 50 million hryvnias to acquire anti-Shahed drones. This move forms part of a broader national initiative to bolster the country's defensive capabilities amid escalating threats. The administration has joined the 'Unified Collection' project, which aims to raise one billion hryvnias for purchasing modern unmanned aerial vehicles.

Collaboration with Charitable Foundations

Serhiy Prytula, a prominent volunteer and founder of a charitable foundation, has refuted rumors that drones might be funded from state budgets. He clarified that under current Ukrainian law, charitable foundations cannot receive money from budgets at any level. Prytula stressed that the regional administration will independently procure the full range of necessary drones and distribute them in coordination with his foundation.

Previously, the Lviv City Council also allocated 50 million hryvnias for drone purchases. These actions demonstrate active support and cooperation between different Ukrainian regions in efforts to enhance security. Prytula added that his foundation possesses considerable expertise in the drone sector, enabling the effective implementation of this project.

Prytula emphasized that the regional administration will independently procure all necessary drone models and distribute them in coordination with the foundation.

Consequently, the collaboration between the Zaporizhzhia Administration and the Prytula Foundation aims not only to supply Ukrainian forces with modern technology but also to establish a solid foundation for the future development of security initiatives in the country.

The allocation of funds for drones in Zaporizhzhia and Lviv underscores the critical importance of cooperation between state institutions and charitable organizations during wartime. These efforts are focused on improving Ukraine's defensive capacity, which is especially vital given the persistent threats from the aggressor. Investments in modern technologies like drones can significantly enhance the effectiveness of military operations and the protection of civilians. This public-private partnership model has become a key feature of Ukraine's wartime resilience, leveraging both official resources and grassroots fundraising.
