Salaries of healthcare workers in Poland: new rates from July 2026
The highest payments are traditionally designated for specialist doctors. From July, their minimum salary will be 12,910.16 zlotys gross, which is more than 1,046 zlotys higher than the previous level.
Other categories of doctors will receive:
-
physicians and dentists without specialization — 10,595.24 zlotys

Thus, the system guarantees minimum incomes based on qualifications and experience.

-
nurses and midwives with specialization — also at the level of over 11,000 zlotys.

Why the salary increase does not solve all problems
Despite the income growth, trade unions note that the level of payment still does not correspond to the workload and responsibility of medical professionals.
In the industry, it is emphasized that the system needs further changes, as the shortage of staff and the overload of doctors remain relevant problems.
For Ukrainians who work or plan to work in Poland, the increase means higher minimum guarantees and more attractive working conditions in the medical sector.
It should be noted that at the beginning of 2026, an increase in minimum incomes in several countries was announced in the European Union, which will positively affect Ukrainian labor migrants. In particular, from January 1, 2026, the minimum wage in Poland increased from 4,666 to 4,806 zlotys gross.
