The labor shortage is changing the automotive job market in Ukraine. Auto electricians and diagnosticians are offered up to 140,000 UAH, automobile mechanics up to 120,000 UAH, and service station managers up to 140,000 UAH. Specialists who can work with electric vehicles and complex electronics are particularly valued. Overall, in Ukraine, blue-collar jobs are becoming more expensive due to the lack of workers. This is reported by 24 Channel.

Auto electricians and automobile mechanics are offered up to 140,000 UAH

An overview of current vacancies on Work.ua and Robota.ua indicates that the automotive industry has turned into a candidate's market. The situation is influenced by mobilization, the migration of workers, and technological changes in the Ukrainian vehicle fleet.

Auto electricians and auto diagnosticians have the widest salary range, from 40,000 to 140,000 UAH. They deal with computer diagnostics, electronic modules, and finding wiring faults.

Masters who know how to service traction batteries, inverters, electric vehicles, and hybrids are becoming especially in demand. With the increase in the number of such vehicles, traditional skills of an automobile mechanic are already insufficient for some jobs.

Auto locksmiths, automobile mechanics, and motor mechanics are offered 40,000 to 120,000 UAH. Due to the shortage of personnel, some service stations are transitioning from pay based on the number of completed labor hours to a high fixed rate.

Body masters and painters can earn 50,000 to 90,000 UAH. Demand is supported by a flow of damaged cars imported from insurance auctions in the USA and South Korea.

Detailers and polishing masters are offered 45,000 to 85,000 UAH. This segment is developing most actively in large cities, where there is demand for polishing, dry cleaning, and protective coatings.

The labor shortage is characteristic not only of auto services. In the industry, 71% of enterprises lack workers, which intensifies competition among employers for qualified specialists.

Car sales managers can earn over 140,000 UAH

In the commercial sector, one of the highest incomes is earned by car sales managers. The typical range is 40,000 to 100,000 UAH and more, but in the premium segment of Kyiv, the most effective sellers can earn over 140,000 UAH.

The size of payments here largely depends on the commission. Employees are required not only to have sales skills but also to understand the automotive market, vehicle selection, and the specifics of purchasing cars at auctions in the USA, China, and the EU.

Service station receptionists earn 45,000 to 70,000 UAH. They communicate with clients, conduct primary diagnostics of the vehicle, agree on repair costs and timelines, and coordinate service loading.

Service station managers and service directors are offered 70,000 to 140,000 UAH. Such positions require skills in personnel management, financial performance control, and working with spare parts suppliers.

How much do drivers, logistics workers, and gas station employees earn

In transport logistics, delivery drivers and corporate drivers on domestic routes are offered 50,000 to 65,000 UAH. For international transportation and drivers of categories C and CE, incomes can be higher.

Logistics managers and dispatchers receive 40,000 to 60,000 UAH. Knowledge of foreign languages is an additional advantage, especially for employees coordinating international transportation.

The lowest entry threshold among the listed professions is for operators and cashiers at gas stations - 18,000 to 25,000 UAH. Companies often train new employees themselves, so previous experience is not always required.

The market shows an increasing gap in incomes depending on qualification. Employers are most willing to pay employees who are difficult to quickly replace or train: diagnosticians, auto electricians, experienced mechanics, and service managers.

Recall that earlier Inkorr reported that in Ukraine salaries reach 50,000 to 67,500 UAH precisely due to the acute shortage of specialists.
