Two Terror Suspects Arrested in Brovary for Alleged Russian Intelligence Plot

According to Главком: Law enforcement in the Kyiv region suspects two individuals of carrying out a terrorist act in Brovary on April 13 at 22:08. According to the investigation, the crime was committed on the orders of Russian special services, resulting in one victim sustaining minor bodily injuries. This event occurred near a private household, and the scene was attended by police, State Emergency Service rescuers, medical personnel, explosives experts from the Kyiv region police, and Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) officers. Following swift operational actions, two suspects were detained:
- A 23-year-old resident of Brovary
- A 17-year-old resident of Chernivtsi Oblast
Investigators established that the perpetrators acted under the direction of Russian intelligence agencies, having been promised a monetary reward. One of the detainees planted an explosive device, while the other set up a mobile phone for surveillance. During searches, phones, SIM cards, explosive components, and electric matches were seized from the suspects. SBU investigators have already served a notice of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which pertains to terrorist acts.
