Ukraine's national amputee football team starts in the Nations League: who are the opponents
According to glavcom.ua: The Ukraine national team is preparing for participation in the EAFF Nations League 2025, which will take place in Baku from October 17 to 19. Our players will compete against teams from Belgium, the Netherlands, and Israel. During this period, the team is conducting a training camp in Zakarpattia, where they are working on preparation and player interaction.
Composition of the Ukraine national amputee football team:
- Goalkeepers: Stanislav Kaplia, Yuriy Dyachuk, Volodymyr Matviyenko.
- Field players: Yuriy Sushch, Valentyn Osovsky, Yaroslav Kachmar, and others.
“We are bringing Ukraine back to the international amputee football arena. The national team has been created anew thanks to the passion and determination of our players, and this tournament is an opportunity to gain important experience. The players are already united by a common goal - to represent Ukraine with dignity,” emphasized head coach Nazariy Rusetskyi.
Previously, the Ukrainian national team defeated Azerbaijan in the qualification for the World Cup, but lost to France and drew with Azerbaijan in the qualification for the 2026 World Cup.
