Ukrainian strongmen won four awards at the Old School Strongman World Championship

Our Ukrainian athletes in strongman competitions did not go unnoticed at the Old School Strongman World Championship in Germany! According to information from the Base of Ukrainian Sports, our participants won four awards.

Two Ukrainian women became prize winners in the Masters category up to 73 kg. The silver award was won by Tatyana Davidenko, and the bronze – by Marina Koba. The bronze medal was won by Sergey Kapustin in the Masters up to 90 kg. Valery Gazayev took third place in the category up to 120 kg. In the team standings, the Ukrainian team scored 33 points and took 4th place among 11 participating countries.

In addition, Ukraine entered the top 10 of the overall medal standings of the European Youth Olympic Festival, taking 10th place. Our athletes won 5 gold, 8 silver, and 10 bronze medals, making this performance the second most successful for Ukraine in the history of participation in the Festivals since 1993.

The Ukrainian strongmen showed impressive results at the Old School Strongman World Championship, winning four awards, which indicates a high level of training and talent of our athletes. Also, the successful performance at the European Youth Olympic Festival added positive emotions for Ukraine and demonstrated that we truly have the potential to achieve great athletic victories.
