The Ukrainian team in parathletics won 7 medals in a day: world champions named

According to glavcom.ua: Today the Ukrainian team at the World Championship in parathletics inspired all fans. According to information from «Glavcom», our athletes won seven awards in just one day of competition.
Anton Kol became the world champion in the 100-meter backstroke in class S1. Ilya Yaremenko and Maxim Veraksa won gold medals in the 50m freestyle. Hanna Polishchuk impressively became the vice-world champion in the 150m individual medley in class SM4. Danilo Chufarov and Kirill Poida decorated the team with silver and bronze, while Eduard Horodyanin finished the day with another bronze medal.
Not only at the World Championship did our athletes show high results. Ukraine confidently entered the top 10 of the medal standings of the European Youth Olympic Festival, ranking 10th. In total, the Ukrainian team won 5 gold, 8 silver, and 10 bronze medals, achieving the second most successful performance at these competitions in the last 28 years. Judo stood out as especially productive, but victorious achievements were also seen in many other sports disciplines.
