Posthumously awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine to Oleksandr Hordiyenko: what is known about his feats
According to glavcom.ua: Farmer from Beryslavshchyna and deputy of the Kherson Regional Council Oleksandr Hordiyenko has been posthumously awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine. This is reported by the portal

The presidential decree states that Hordiyenko has been recognized for his civic courage and heroic service to the Ukrainian people during the events related to the defense of the independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
Tragic death of the farmer and deputy of the Kherson Regional Council
Unfortunately, the head of the Association of Farmers of Kherson Region and deputy of the Kherson Regional Council Oleksandr Hordiyenko died from a Russian drone strike. He had over thirty years of experience in agriculture, was the owner of a farm called 'Hordiyenko', and headed the regional association of farmers and private landowners.
It should be noted that Oleksandr spoke about his actions to shoot down Russian drones himself. After the Russians crossed to the left bank in November 2022, he independently demined his farm and transported about 5 thousand anti-tank mines in KAMAZ trucks, 500 pieces in each.
The title of Hero of Ukraine was awarded to farmer and deputy of the Kherson Regional Council Oleksandr Hordiyenko for his civic courage and service to the Ukrainian people during an important time of defending the country's independence and territorial integrity. The tragic incident was the cause of his death, but in studying his feats and courage, it can be seen that he truly deserves high recognition.
