Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, speaking at the EU Enlargement Summit, expressed hope that Ukraine would become a full member of the European Union by 2030. He emphasized that this would be fair after the war in the country ends.
'Certainly, I would like to be the president under whom Ukraine will be in the EU. But of course, that does not mean that this is the main priority. The main thing is for Ukraine to join the EU. And who will be president at that time is another question'
Zelensky also supported the possibility of new members joining the EU with limited rights to expedite the process. He focused on equality and full rights for all joining countries. Additionally, the president noted Hungary's blocking of negotiation clusters and emphasized the support for Ukraine's EU membership from U.S. President Donald Trump.
In his speech, Zelensky demonstrated Ukraine's commitment to Eurointegration and hope for its future membership in the European Union.
