Statements by the Ukrainian president and the situation with Russia
According to Главком: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the information about the attack on Vladimir Putin's residence is fake. During the discussion of this issue, the Ukrainian negotiating group communicated with the American side. Sergey Lavrov, the Russian Foreign Minister, previously claimed that an attack by a drone on Putin's state residence occurred on the night of December 29.
Zelensky also warned about possible Russian strikes on government buildings in Kyiv.
“Everyone needs to be careful now, a strike on the capital may occur,” he noted.
At the same time, the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, Andriy Sybiga, confirmed that there was no attack by Ukraine on Putin's residence.
Comments from international leaders
Donald Trump, the former president of the United States, also commented on this matter, calling this step 'unpleasant'. Thus, the situation around the attack remains tense, and the Ukrainian side continues to monitor the development of events.
The situation surrounding the potential attack on Putin's residence reflects the escalation of tension in relations between Ukraine and Russia, which has been ongoing since the beginning of the military conflict. Ukraine's official position, denying the fact of the attack, may indicate a desire to avoid escalation of the conflict and to maintain diplomatic channels of communication. At the same time, Zelensky's warnings about possible strikes on Kyiv emphasize that the threat from Russia remains real, and the Ukrainian authorities are preparing for possible attacks in the future.
