Ukraine’s President Meets with UK Premier in New York

Zelensky is scheduled to hold nearly 20 meetings with global leaders throughout the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.

Prime Minister Burnham pledged British contributions toward Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, noting that the specifics of this support will be finalized in the coming weeks.

“We will contribute to strengthening Ukraine’s energy systems, with further aid details to be confirmed shortly,” Burnham stated.

Zelensky also revealed intelligence reports indicating Russia’s plans for a new large-scale assault on Ukraine.

“With Ukrainians facing daily threats from missile and drone attacks, any talk of lifting sanctions is unacceptable,” he emphasized.

He insisted that sanctions against Russia must remain in place and even be intensified as long as the conflict persists.

During his talks with Andy Burnham, Zelensky expressed gratitude for the UK’s assistance packages, saying:
