According to glavcom.ua: The Ukrainian women's youth handball team U-19 impressed with its performance at the 2025 European Championship in division B, which took place in Tbilisi, Georgia. Under the guidance of Liliia Horylska, our athletes won all six matches, defeating the Slovak team in the final with a score of 28:23. Now our team has not only become the champion of the tournament but also received the opportunity to compete in division A.
An important role in the victory was played by Liubov Rosokha, who was named the most valuable player of the tournament, as well as Vanesa Lakatosh and Anastasiia Parkhomenko, who were included in the symbolic team.
This is already the second gold medal for Ukraine this year, following the success of taekwondo athletes Maksym Manenko and Kyrylo Hurnov. The new victory in handball indicates the strong development of women's sports in Ukraine and the high professionalism of our athletes.
