Over the past five years in the USA, due to the retirement of baby boomer accountants and the layoffs of millennials, the industry is facing a talent shortage. Young professionals are not afraid of challenges, seeing in their work an opportunity to change people's lives and gain satisfaction from it.

VITA program director Rafael Efrat emphasizes that engaging young people in accounting helps to change their perception of this profession and allows them to try themselves in new areas.

Through participation in the VITA program, students have already saved citizens millions of dollars in taxes. Young accountants seek stability and high pay, which indicates the growing popularity of this profession among the younger generation. In Germany, there is also a tendency for rapid changes in careers, as many young workers plan to change employers to find a balance between work and personal life.
