According to Велика українська енциклопедія: The Constitution Day of the Republic of Azerbaijan is celebrated on November 12. This country is located in the Eastern Caucasus, near the Caspian Sea. The name 'Azerbaijan' has ancient origins and may derive from the Turkic word 'azer', meaning 'fire', due to the fire worshippers inhabiting this territory.
It is noted in the encyclopedia that the territory of modern Azerbaijan has been inhabited since the early Paleolithic, and the first state formations emerged from tribal unions such as the Mannai and the Medes.
On this festive day, the residents of Azerbaijan celebrate and honor the history of their country, its constitution, and achievements.
