Ukrainian General Staff Reports 131 Combat Engagements on April 8 Front Lines

According to Главком: As of 10:00 PM on April 8, Ukrainian forces reported 131 combat engagements over the previous 24 hours in the full-scale war, now in its 1,505th day. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine detailed significant enemy activity, including:
- 40 airstrikes;
- 140 guided aerial bombs;
- 4,510 kamikaze drones;
- 2,678 artillery shelling incidents.
This high volume of attacks underscores the relentless pressure Russian forces are applying across the theater of war.
Combat Activity Across Frontline Sectors
Intense fighting was recorded across multiple sectors. On the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian forces eliminated 76 occupiers and wounded 33, while destroying:
- a ground robotic complex;
- one shelter;
- four communication antennas;
- seven automotive vehicles;
- 11 pieces of special equipment;
- a tank;
- four artillery systems;
- three motor vehicles;
- six UAV control points;
- 37 shelters.
Additionally, 118 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were destroyed or suppressed.
On the Northern-Slobozhanske and Kursk directions, one attack was repelled and 45 shelling incidents were recorded, three of which involved multiple launch rocket systems. The Southern-Slobozhanske direction saw five assaults near Vovchanski Khutory, Synelnykove, Prylipka, and Lyman. On the Kupiansk direction, four assaults toward Novoosynove, Kivsharivka, and Novoplatonivka were repelled, with one engagement ongoing.
The Lyman direction also saw active combat, with four enemy attempts to advance near Hrekivka, Zarichne, toward Novyi Myr, and Lyman repelled. The Sloviansk direction recorded three assaults toward Riznykivka, and the Kramatorsk direction saw one attack toward Tykhonivka.
The Kostiantynivka direction was the site of 18 assaults near Kostiantynivka, Stepanivka, Novopavlivka, Pleshiivka, Illinivka, and Sofiivka, with one battle ongoing. On the Pokrovsk direction, 24 attacks occurred in the areas of Rodynske, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Muravka, Hryshyne, Udachne, Filiia, as well as toward Bilytske, Novooleksandrivka, and Serhiivka, with one engagement also continuing.
The Oleksandrivka direction experienced five enemy attempts to improve their tactical position toward Lisne, Oleksandrograd, Novoselivka, and near Novohryhorivka. On the Huliaipole direction, 15 attacks were launched toward Priluky, Dobropillia, Tsvitkove, Zaliznychne, Huliaipilske, Varvarivka, and in the areas of Myrne and Huliaipole, with two engagements ongoing.
Airstrikes were recorded in the areas of Lisne, Nove Pole, Vozdvyzhivka, Priluky, Verkhnia Tersa, Liubytske, Hirke, Huliaipilske, Barvinivka, Shyroke, and Charivne.
The frontline situation remains tense, with high-intensity combat across numerous sectors. The latest data indicates active combat operations by both sides, with significant losses inflicted on the enemy, pointing to the continued escalation of the conflict.
