132 Combat Clashes in One Day: Pokrovsk Axis Remains the Hottest Spot

According to Главком: On May 4, the Ukrainian General Staff reported 132 combat engagements across the front lines. Russian forces launched missile and air strikes, deployed drones, and used artillery extensively. The most intense fighting continues on the Pokrovsk axis. This marks the 1,531st day of the full-scale war.
Since the start of the day, the enemy fired one missile in a single strike. A total of 54 aerial attacks were carried out, dropping 175 guided bombs. Additionally, 5,782 kamikaze drones were deployed. Ukrainian positions and populated areas came under 2,525 artillery and mortar attacks.
Frontline Situation
On the Pokrovsk axis, Ukrainian forces eliminated 52 occupiers, wounded 16, and destroyed three vehicles, eight pieces of special equipment, and two artillery pieces. Another five vehicles, two artillery units, and two drone control posts were damaged. In total, 194 drones of various types were either destroyed or suppressed.
- On the North-Slobozhansk and Kursk axes, five clashes occurred, with one still ongoing.
- The enemy carried out 65 shelling attacks, five of which involved multiple rocket launchers.
- On the South-Slobozhansk axis, occupiers stormed positions four times; one engagement continues.
- On the Lyman axis, Ukrainian troops repelled four attempts to advance, with one clash still active.
- On the Sloviansk axis, defense forces halted two enemy attacks.
- On the Kramatorsk axis, two assaults were stopped, and one battle is ongoing.
- On the Kostiantynivka axis, 12 assaults were repelled, with two clashes still in progress.
On the Pokrovsk axis, the enemy launched 21 attacks. On the Oleksandrivka axis, occupiers tried seven times to improve their positions. On the Huliaipole axis, ten attacks occurred, with one still ongoing. On the Orikhiv axis, the enemy attempted to advance near Shcherbaky.
These events highlight the intense military confrontation on the front, where both sides are locked in heavy fighting.
The situation remains critical, with both sides focusing on holding and improving strategic positions. The high intensity of combat shows that both are actively mobilizing resources and equipment, which could shape the next phases of the conflict.
