The Ministry of Infrastructure launched a national transport platform: how data will change logistics
According to Міністерство інфраструктури: On December 15, a presentation of the Transport Data Hub took place in Kyiv - this is, simply put, a new national platform for processing data in the field of transport, mobility, and logistics. Its goal is to provide the government, communities, and businesses access to quality analytics for improving route planning and infrastructure, analyzing population mobility, and reducing corruption risks in the transport sector.
“Today, transport is important not only for connecting cities but also for defense capability, economic recovery, and ease of movement. That is why we are launching the Transport Data Hub - a national platform that aggregates key transport data and allows decisions to be made based on facts, not perceptions. This changes transport management, increases transparency, and lays the foundation for modern transport policy in Ukraine.”
- emphasized Deputy Prime Minister Oleksii Kuleba.
Also present at the event was Jasmine Born from the British Embassy. The platform was presented by Deputy Minister Serhii Derkach, who talked about the first products of the Transport Data Hub:
- The citizen mobility dashboard - analysis of population movements and transport demand;
- The international routes dashboard - logistics analytics and border crossings;
- Results of the study 'Economic effect of the reform of international bus transport'.
After the presentation, a panel discussion “How data influences future transport decisions” took place with the participation of representatives from various industries. The event was supported by the project “Digitalization for Growth, Integrity, and Transparency” - UK DIGIT, implemented by the Eurasia Foundation and funded by UK Dev. More information about the Transport Data Hub can be found on the Ministry of Infrastructure's website.
