Saint Charitina lived in the early 4th century in the city of Amis (Pontus). She devoted her time to prayer and studying the Scriptures, which led to the conversion of many pagans to Christianity. During the persecutions by Emperor Diocletian, she did not renounce her beliefs and showed extraordinary strength of spirit during brutal torture. Saint Charitina is especially revered as the patroness of craftsmen.
