Like the president: ATB cashier salaries significantly increased in 2026

Salary offers for cashiers and sales consultants at ATB in Kyiv have risen to 27 thousand hryvnias per month. This is only a thousand hryvnias less than the official salary of the president, but it is below the average wage in Ukraine. This is reported by Telegraf.

How much ATB cashiers earn in July 2026

In Kyiv's vacancies for the ATB retail chain, employees are offered up to 27 thousand hryvnias per month. In the regions, salaries are lower: for example, in Khmelnytskyi, a sales consultant can expect 22 thousand hryvnias.

The amount of pay depends on the city, specific store, schedule, and responsibilities. Job postings may seek employees for a combined position of sales consultant and cashier, so the actual workload also varies.

According to Work.ua, the median salary of a cashier in Ukraine in July reached 23 thousand hryvnias. This figure was calculated based on over 7 thousand active job vacancies.

In Kyiv, the salary offer for cashiers is about 27 thousand hryvnias. In Lviv, the median reaches 25.2 thousand, in Odesa 22.5 thousand, in Dnipro 22.3 thousand, and in Kharkiv 19.5 thousand hryvnias.

The growth of salaries in retail is related to competition among employers for personnel. Large networks are forced to review salaries to fill vacancies and retain employees in regions with a shortage of staff.

Why ATB cashier salaries are compared to the presidential salary

According to Volodymyr Zelensky's declaration for 2025, his salary as president amounted to 336 thousand hryvnias per year. On average, this is 28 thousand hryvnias per month. The declaration was submitted to the NAPK register.

The comparison only concerns the official salary of the head of state. The overall personal income of the president was significantly higher due to income from rentals, bank operations, and government bonds.

At the same time, both amounts remain lower than the average salary of employees. According to the State Statistics Service, in May 2026, it amounted to 30,961 hryvnias, having increased by 1.5% over the month.

Thus, the ATB offer in Kyiv exceeds the median salary of cashiers nationwide by 4 thousand hryvnias, but it falls short of the national average by almost 4 thousand.
